1. Scope#
This Policy explains the price of using WAM and how payments between Artists and Contractors are handled in the current version of the Platform. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions.
2. Free use#
Use of WAM is free of charge. WAM does not charge Artists or Contractors:
- registration fees, subscriptions or paid plans;
- commissions on the fees agreed;
- charges for publishing calls for artists, applying, sending messages, or generating or signing contracts; or
- cancellation charges.
3. WAM does not process payments#
In this version, WAM does not process payments between Users. In particular, WAM:
- does not receive, hold, safeguard, transfer or refund Users' money;
- does not act as a collection or payment agent for either party;
- does not offer escrow or fund-holding services;
- does not provide advances, loans or financing; and
- is not a party to the Artistic contract.
4. Direct payments between Artist and Contractor#
Fees, currency, expenses (travel, accommodation, per diems or others), taxes, dates and payment method are agreed directly between the Artist and the Contractor and should be set out in writing in the Artistic contract.
Payments are made outside WAM, by the means the parties choose and at their sole responsibility. WAM does not verify or guarantee that a payment is made, received or correct, and does not intervene in refunds, chargebacks or money claims between the parties.
Safety recommendations:
- agree in writing on the amount, currency, deadlines and payment method before the performance;
- keep receipts for each payment;
- be wary of urgent requests for money, sudden changes of bank details or requests to pay third parties; and
- never share passwords, verification codes or full card details through the chat.
If you suspect fraud, report it to [email protected]. WAM may take action on the accounts involved under the Community Guidelines, but it cannot recover funds paid outside the Platform.
5. Taxes and invoices#
Each party is responsible for meeting its tax obligations, issuing or requesting the appropriate invoices or receipts and applying any withholdings required by law. WAM does not issue invoices for artistic services and does not act as a withholding agent.
6. Future changes: paid features#
If WAM decides in the future to introduce paid features, commissions, subscriptions or payment processing:
- it will give at least 30 days' notice through the app, the email address associated with the account, or both;
- it will publish an updated version of the Terms and of this Policy detailing prices, commissions, payment providers and refund terms; and
- those terms will apply only to those who expressly accept them. Anyone who does not accept them may stop using the paid features or close their account at no cost.
No price change will retroactively affect contracts already entered into between Users or activities carried out before its entry into force.
7. Contact#
